New Age Music Reborn

It took 22 years, but I knew if I waited long enough New Age would become hip again.  The Los Angeles Times has given its code of approval to a new wave of musicians like Animal Collective and Blues Control (Who have a tune called “Paul Winter’s Solstice”), who wave their New Age flags high.   Of course, the Times is behind the curve because tons of acts have been lifting form New Age discs for years.  More later.  Here’s the article. Bwah-ha-ha-ha…
    Ye gods, this is funny.
I never gave up on “New Age” either, John. The irony here is that as I dive into more alternative realms for new sounds, now those same people are diving back into New Age for something new. What’s next, bell bottom pants? disco?

    BOOYAH!

To the rest of us, its always been good ol’ electronic music. Not unlike Jazz, an umbrella term for music exploration and innovation.
