Living Room Concert: Una

Hear Una in a Living room Concert on Echoes tonight.

Una Live on Echoes

We loved this Una performance so much that a track from it is on our new Living Room Concerts collection, Transmissions.  Hear the whole wonderful performance again tonight on Echoes.

Una is a band form LA mixing trip-hop, jazz, electronic and DJ strategies, all centered by the powerful voice of Jennifer Nice.  They come to Echoes to play music from their latest album, The Laughing Man, live.  It almost didn’t happen.  We scheduled Una in the original Echoes Living Room, my house.  But on the hottest day of the year, an hour before the band’s arrival, my air conditioning crapped out.  We quickly scrambled for a new venue, landing in my girlfriend’s living room seven minutes up the road.  Dogs were vanquished from the house, kids silenced, and the family room rearranged to accommodate Una for a spectacular performance.  Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Echoes from the relaxing completion of its appointed chill.

Below, watch Una’s video for “Out of the Dark,” from the band’s latest album.
